The supporters of XENON FC booed when River Plate Mtl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Strong didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leroy Dalton got free with Edmond Cleveland in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. River Plate Mtl's Carlos Arsenault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pasquale Ratliff in the 18th minute of play. With 21 minutes on the clock, Thaddeus Tillman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Carlos Arsenault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pasquale Ratliff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes, Ira Ransom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate Mtl and the XENON FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of XENON FC booed when River Plate Mtl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Arsenault made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Pasquale Ratliff kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Fernando Strong dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Cleveland, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Patten in the 40th minute of play forced XENON FC's goalkeeper Edmond Cleveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, XENON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindsey Ring to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to XENON FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Genaro Boswell hit a great ball. When Teodoro Barger came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the River Plate Mtl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Barger couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Derek Weston stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leroy Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Cleveland having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Fernando Strong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmond Cleveland. XENON FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Strong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. XENON FC made a substitution. Kip Ferris replaced Stefan Gibson. 63 minutes into the game, River Plate Mtl's Leroy Dalton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmond Cleveland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Ross Patten hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. XENON FC's Edmond Cleveland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Weston in the 68th minute of play. Leroy Dalton scored 6-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmond Cleveland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 76 played minutes XENON FC got a freekick which was hit by Bret Marrero. In the 77th minute, Fernando Strong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmond Cleveland was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. 81 minutes into the game, Lindsey Ring was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XENON FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate Mtl the free kick. In the 81st match minute, XENON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindsey Ring to maneuver through the defense. Edmond Cleveland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Strong, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Derek Weston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Edmond Cleveland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
