When Armand Metivier fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hagersville's protests and gave Armand Metivier a yellow card for diving instead. Armand Metivier hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Titus Nadeau might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loup Worthington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Titus Nadeau ran back to his position shaking his head. Loup Worthington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Titus Nadeau's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Angry Smurfs's Bruce Burch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vern Chouinard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Joan Jefferson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Angry Smurfs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hagersville the free kick. Loup Worthington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Titus Nadeau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emon McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Chouinard having to interfere. King Primeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loup Worthington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Titus Nadeau in the 26th minute of play. Vern Chouinard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emon McCracken in the 28th minute of the match. Loup Worthington came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Hagersville's Titus Nadeau. But to his dismay, Titus Nadeau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emon McCracken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vern Chouinard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruce Burch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vern Chouinard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. King Primeau scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loup Worthington, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Loup Worthington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from King Primeau, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. King Primeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Loup Worthington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Angry Smurfs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hagersville were winning 0-2.

King Primeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loup Worthington having to interfere. King Primeau succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 58th playminute. 61 minutes into the match, Angry Smurfs's goal looked a bit too open when Titus Nadeau came free, but Loup Worthington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angry Smurfs's Loup Worthington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Titus Nadeau in the 63rd minute of play. Joan Jefferson was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bruce Burch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vern Chouinard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Bruce Burch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vern Chouinard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Hagersville's Stuart Chaussée got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angry Smurfs's Bruce Burch got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruce Burch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
