Dalton Byrd kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beau Herrera got free with Loup Worthington in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Loup Worthington managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Avonport's Beau Herrera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Avonport's Sal Provencher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Loiseau in the 33rd minute of play. Sal Provencher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emon McCracken, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Juan Delacruz lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Angry Smurfs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Avonport's Carroll James got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Loup Worthington. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joan Jefferson in the 41st minute of play forced Avonport's goalkeeper Sal Provencher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Angry Smurfs's Rafael Loiseau in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Avonport's Sal Provencher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Avonport from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Avonport getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Thad Avila hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Angry Smurfs's Frederic Daley got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Carroll James managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avonport's supporters rose to their feet, but Carroll James was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loup Worthington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beau Herrera in the 79th minute of play forced Angry Smurfs's goalkeeper Loup Worthington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Jimmie French shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loup Worthington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Beau Herrera put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Loup Worthington. In the 86th minute of the match, Bruce Burch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sal Provencher was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Loup Worthington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Logan Dukes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loup Worthington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beau Herrera in the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Rafael Loiseau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angry Smurfs and the Avonport players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Angry Smurfs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Loiseau to maneuver through the defense. Avonport's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
