Spectators: 7549 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1949, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Art Salmons took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yann Hobbs got free with Hershel Slater in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Brooks Shearer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Boswell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Bernie Childress had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Boswell. MURGASH's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernie Childress was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vance Brasseur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurice Lilly scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Boswell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to MURGASH getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Olen Zamora hit a great ball. Vance Brasseur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Josiah McIntosh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Blackman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson FC's Bernie Childress got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vance Brasseur scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Boswell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Brooks Shearer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nelson FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooks Shearer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Boswell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in MURGASH's zone, Bernie Childress stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Boswell came out of the goal and Bernie Childress tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 54th minute Bernie Childress shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Boswell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Bernie Childress cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Joel Boswell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Vance Brasseur reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Boswell. The goal made the score 0-5. Steven Durham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shad Funk kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Nelson FC's Bernie Childress tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
