If Bo Timmons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Neil French sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gösta Häll threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Neil French this time. In the 16th minute of the match, Sherman Harrington tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gösta Häll saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gerardo Dailey kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Gilberto Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bergland's Theo Parham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bergland's Sherman Harrington slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gösta Häll. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Bergland's Theo Parham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vieira in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Sherman Harrington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bo Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Häll having to interfere. Bergland's Theo Parham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vieira in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match CA Palmeiras got a corner. Bergland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Randall Crump ran over to the corner to take the kick. Randall Crump made a great header on CA Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Bergland's Theo Parham managed to reach the ball for a save. Bo Timmons's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gösta Häll read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Bo Timmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gösta Häll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Vieira made a kick off. Gösta Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sherman Harrington in the 54th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Arnoldo Beaujolie got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gösta Häll quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gösta Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherman Harrington in the 62nd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, CA Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Timmons came free, but Gösta Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sherman Harrington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gösta Häll was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. CA Palmeiras's Gösta Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherman Harrington in the 75th minute of play. Gilberto Vieira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergland's goalkeeper Theo Parham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89thth minute of the game Bo Timmons who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA Palmeiras's Gösta Häll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gösta Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sherman Harrington in the 93rd minute of the match. CA Palmeiras's Gilberto Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezra Ohara during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergland's goalkeeper Theo Parham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Bergland failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
