Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brooks Shearer made the kick off which started today's match. Vance Brasseur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Jarrett having to interfere. Bernie Childress scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elliott Jarrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Montréal City booed when Nelson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Lilly didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Brooks Shearer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elliott Jarrett came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Nelson FC's Vance Brasseur. But to his dismay, Vance Brasseur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Bernie Childress fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Jarrett having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Montréal City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jake Roe to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Brooks Shearer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elliott Jarrett. The goal made the score 4-0.

In the 55th minute Brooks Shearer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Jarrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vance Brasseur fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nelson FC's protests and gave Vance Brasseur a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Nelson FC got a freekick which was hit by Vance Brasseur. In the 61st match minute, Nelson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernie Childress to maneuver through the defense. Hershel Slater showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grady Richmond, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Elliott Jarrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Lilly in the 67th minute of play. Brooks Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Elliott Jarrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, Nelson FC's Brooks Shearer made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elliott Jarrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernie Childress recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brooks Shearer in the 93rd minute of play forced Montréal City's goalkeeper Elliott Jarrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernie Childress had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Jarrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brooks Shearer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
