NDG Fury FC's Jimeno Barea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Volkan Demirel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's Mårten Arenstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volkan Demirel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The NDG Fury FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when NDG Fury FC's Mårten Arenstedt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mårten Arenstedt in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volkan Demirel saved Eric from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Mårten Arenstedt in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to Eric getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Atrar El Brazi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olen Huynh in the 28th minute of play forced Eric's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mårten Arenstedt in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volkan Demirel saved Eric from getting behind. A collision led to NDG Fury FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dwayne Ducharme hit a great ball. The corner ended in Mårten Arenstedt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eric's Volkan Demirel did a great save. The audience was convinced that Mårten Arenstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Volkan Demirel was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mårten Arenstedt was the one to do the kick off. Mårten Arenstedt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 50thth minute tested the skills of Volkan Demirel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mårten Arenstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Volkan Demirel made a huge save. If Roscoe Wong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ómar Sharif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Demirel having to interfere. Mårten Arenstedts short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Volkan Demirel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ómar Sharif got free with Volkan Demirel in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mårten Arenstedt in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volkan Demirel saved Eric from getting behind. Alonzo Weldon charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Theron Dooley came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Eric's Roscoe Wong. But to his dismay, Roscoe Wong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, NDG Fury FC's Ezequiel Richie got a free kick in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mårten Arenstedt got free with Volkan Demirel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Volkan Demirel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mårten Arenstedt's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the game, Mårten Arenstedt lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Volkan Demirel.
