Clair Viens was slow to take the kick. During this time Spondin AFC's players had a chance to rest. Calvin Diggs tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Reynaldo Paquette. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georges Huard in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Paquette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mississauga DareDevils's Olivier Lambert got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Reynaldo Paquette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wes Lyles in the 45th minute of the match. The Mississauga DareDevils players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spondin AFC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grady Dupre to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Spondin AFC's Benito Lanza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynaldo Paquette narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Lanza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. A collision led to Mississauga DareDevils getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ryota Rau hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grady Dupre in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeffrey Griggs saved Spondin AFC from getting behind. With a little luck, Mississauga DareDevils's Reynaldo Paquette got control of the ball when Wes Lyles tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Georges Huard sped through Mississauga DareDevils's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reynaldo Paquette. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Spondin AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
