Spectators: 9266 (Terracing: 6951, Seating: 2131, VIP seats: 184) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cyrus Velasco kicked off to start the match. Daron Keen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Sunnyvale FC defense, Cyrus Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Elija. The Sunnyvale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Elija should have stopped the shot. If Daron Keen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Di Lillo in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Di Lillo in the 9th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Abel Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Boyles. With a little luck, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno got control of the ball when Rickey McLain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Di Lillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Di Lillo in the 27th minute of play. Melchor Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrus Velasco in the 29th minute of play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daron Keen in the 30th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daron Keen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Melchor Elija quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Melchor Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilber Leon in the 34th minute of play. Melchor Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Keen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 38 played minutes Sunnyvale FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Grimm. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Alfonzo Davidson was substituted for Gary Thomason. Arturo Grimm kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daron Keen in the 40th minute of play forced Sunnyvale FC's goalkeeper Melchor Elija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Caio da Rocha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sunnyvale FC's Melchor Elija. Melchor Elija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Melchor Elija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute of the match Daron Keen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melchor Elija showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Francesco Di Lillo scored 1-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 53rd minute, Benito Newcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Caio da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio da Rocha couldn't finish the play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC made a substitution. Mario Dostie replaced Cyrus Velasco. A sloppy throw-in by Daron Keen in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sunnyvale FC's Kirk Camacho. With his leg Melchor Elija managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Caio da Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio da Rocha got free with Melchor Elija in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute Qikiqtarjuaq FC were awarded a corner. Daron Keen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Daron Keen to fire away a dangerous shot which Melchor Elija despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abel Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickey McLain in the 66th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Sunnyvale FC's goalkeeper Melchor Elija had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio da Rocha. Caio da Rocha took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melchor Elija. Melchor Elija dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Melchor Elija was a little too slow when Caio da Rocha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-4. Melchor Elija made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Caio da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
