Zacarias Abella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Barril, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Donzel Hubidia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornaca's Frederik Barril got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Cornaca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerardo Abellaneda to strike the kick off in the second half. Firmo Abello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
