When Paulo Ponga came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Malpaso AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ponga couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute Salomone Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Villate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Ponga kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Teofilio Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Amado Villate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salomone Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Constantine Tooth Stacker defense, Luciano Marentos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilixo Abellaneda. The Constantine Tooth Stacker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilixo Abellaneda should have stopped the shot. Paulo Ponga charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Ponga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Malpaso AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Ponga to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Lluc Abarca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Malpaso AFC's Amado Villate didn't even have to move. Amado Villate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salomone Abascal's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Salomone Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Amado Villate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilixo Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlo Castillo in the 33rd minute of the match. When Malpaso AFC's Arlo Castillo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Constantine Tooth Stacker's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomone Abascal in the 37th minute of play forced Malpaso AFC's goalkeeper Amado Villate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malpaso AFC's Arlo Castillo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Paulo Ponga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arlo Castillo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Malpaso AFC's zone, Salomone Abascal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Villate came out of the goal and Salomone Abascal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amado Villate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-1 became the score in the 61st minute when Teofilio Abalos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ilixo Abellaneda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlo Castillo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Arlo Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlo Castillo in the 75th minute of play forced Constantine Tooth Stacker's goalkeeper Ilixo Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Arlo Castillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arlo Castillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilixo Abellaneda having to interfere. With a little luck, Constantine Tooth Stacker's Ilixo Abellaneda got control of the ball when Luciano Marentos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ilixo Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlo Castillo in the 84th minute of the match. Ilixo Abellaneda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Marentos went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 88 minutes into the match, Malpaso AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Salomone Abascal came free, but Amado Villate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilixo Abellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Castillo in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Teofilio Abalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Villate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Malpaso AFC's Luciano Marentos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilixo Abellaneda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Malpaso AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
