Ekaitz Abellaneda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marino Lazcano in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Locahayo's goal looked a bit too open when Obano Sala came free, but Ekaitz Abellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Marino Lazcano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ekaitz Abellaneda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ekaitz Abellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorka Capon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 44th minute, Amarete AFC's Obano Sala ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ekaitz Abellaneda. Ekaitz Abellaneda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Abenda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nahia Abenda kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 52 minutes, Imanol Gonzales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amarete AFC and the Locahayo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Locahayo's protests and gave Geofredo Abenda a yellow card for diving instead. 72 minutes into the game, one of Locahayo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Amarete AFC. Fagildo Trillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ekaitz Abellaneda. 3-2. Inigo Abastas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Barrera having to make a save. In the 81st minute, Perez Vilanova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Locahayo's goalkeeper Ekaitz Abellaneda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Abenda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Barrera having to make a save. In the 98th minute, Obano Sala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
