The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Comunicaciones's zone, Zigor Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Abello came out of the goal and Zigor Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Etxeberri Abeijon during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Huari Centenario booed when Comunicaciones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etxeberri Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pello Abaurre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lizardi Abeita. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Costante Abadia kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Gaudencio Abello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigor Aballe in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camilo Abancens in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaudencio Abello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th match minute, Comunicaciones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ospetsu Abascal to maneuver through the defense. Gaudencio Abello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Abello in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Camilo Abancens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaudencio Abello was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The Huari Centenario fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Huari Centenario's Camilo Abancens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 47th minute, Zigor Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Pello Abaurre made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Zigor Aballe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Camilo Abancens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Abello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Comunicaciones's Gaudencio Abello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Comunicaciones from getting a goal against them.
