Cordarrel Abastas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Cordarrel Abastas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pellas Abella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Abeita's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Zosimo Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético de Madrid La Paz's supporters rose to their feet, but Zosimo Abel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pellas Abella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pellas Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zosimo Abel in the 41st minute of play. Roegelio Abastas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erramu Abenda having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zosimo Abel made a kick off. A collision led to 20 de Mayo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Atlético de Madrid La Paz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zosimo Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zosimo Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pellas Abella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Atlético de Madrid La Paz failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
