The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Abel during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fernando Abellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordarrel Abastas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Fernando Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zosimo Abel in the 45th minute of the match. Vincent Abeita might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erramu Abenda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vincent Abeita ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vincent Abeita made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Atlético de Madrid La Paz's Cordarrel Abastas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Abellaneda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zosimo Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Abellaneda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético de Madrid La Paz's zone, Gora Abarca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erramu Abenda came out of the goal and Gora Abarca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Zosimo Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Madrid La Paz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zosimo Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético de Madrid La Paz's Cordarrel Abastas got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Though ot was a great shot Chiguana's keeper Fernando Abellaneda was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
