After a defensive mix-up in Calla's zone, Videl Abello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Abecia came out of the goal and Videl Abello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

55 minutes into the game, Deportivo Libertad's Videl Abello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andres Abecia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
