The Internacional fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Internacional's Laércio de Andrade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Justino Chorache kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Kartal Namal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Laércio de Andrade put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Kartal Namal. Kartal Namal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio de Andrade went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 26thth minute of the game Laércio de Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético San Alejandro's Kartal Namal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Rodrigues got free with Geronimo Rulli in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30th play minutes Laércio de Andrade shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Kartal Namal and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Laércio de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kartal Namal was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Internacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Abarca in the 35th minute. The corner led to Internacional's Israel Aballe getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Laércio de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kartal Namal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio de Andrade in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Laércio de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kartal Namal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. The Atlético San Alejandro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Internacional were winning 0-7.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Rodrigues made a kick off. Pablo-Enrique Abeijon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kartal Namal having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Laércio de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Kartal Namal. Atlético San Alejandro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Laércio de Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kartal Namal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio de Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Alexandre Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético San Alejandro's goalkeeper Kartal Namal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kartal Namal came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Internacional's Laércio de Andrade. But to his dismay, Laércio de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Laércio de Andrade took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kartal Namal. Kartal Namal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. Thanks to some nice moves Ysmael Abad could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Kartal Namal however easily saved by the left post. Laércio de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Laércio de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Kartal Namal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Velasco Abello charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Velasco Abello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atlético San Alejandro getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Velasco Abello hit a great ball. Laércio de Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kartal Namal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio de Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Internacional's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
