The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes, Santiago FC's Jeremias Charri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geronimo Puntones came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santiago FC reached it. Furtado Bailina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Puntones having to interfere. Dynamo Ordeig's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Furtado Bailina scored to the left of an out of position Geronimo Puntones, making the score, 1-0. When Urritz Pimentel came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Santiago FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urritz Pimentel couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Furtado Bailina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inaki Tufiño kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Furtado Bailina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Urritz Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Santiago FC's Geronimo Puntones threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Furtado Bailina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urritz Pimentel got free with Geronimo Puntones in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Furtado Bailina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geronimo Puntones made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Urritz Pimentel sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the game, Furtado Bailina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Geronimo Puntones was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rogerio Sufiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Xayveon Leniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Furtado Bailina to strike the kick off in the second half. Furtado Bailina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Puntones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. If Furtado Bailina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Furtado Bailina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geronimo Puntones was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Eugenio Sevane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xayveon Leniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xayveon Leniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Sevane in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Dynamo Ordeig booed when Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umbruso Viaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Sevane came free, but Xayveon Leniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Santiago FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Chinto Jacolet hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes Dynamo Ordeig got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Arcelay. Santiago FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
