Lorien Batalle's late challenge caught a Piamontesa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorien Batalle helped the player get up and apologised. 9 minutes into the match, Chilcas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gai Caruezo came free, but Mendiko Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mendiko Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gai Caruezo in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Herbella in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mendiko Adrian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piamontesa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Rumaldo Galarreta scored to the left of an out of position Dagoberto Bao, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Piamontesa booed when Chilcas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Argider Machuca fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilcas AFC's protests and gave Argider Machuca a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelo Herbella struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Mendiko Adrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piamontesa. 27 minutes into the match, Gai Caruezo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mendiko Adrian. Chilcas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gai Caruezo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vicente Balza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Bao having to interfere. Gai Caruezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piamontesa's Gai Caruezo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mendiko Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gai Caruezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piamontesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Gai Caruezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mendiko Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

52 minutes into the match, Erasmo Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mendiko Adrian. Chilcas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erasmo Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dagoberto Bao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rumaldo Galarreta in the 56th minute of play. Argider Machuca was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th minute, Argider Machuca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Piamontesa's Marcelo Herbella in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chilcas AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Erasmo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Piamontesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Herbella kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mendiko Adrian. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. Mendiko Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Herbella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Balza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chilcas AFC's zone, Marcelo Herbella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mendiko Adrian came out of the goal and Marcelo Herbella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Herbella who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Mendiko Adrian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Herbella in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mendiko Adrian saved Chilcas AFC from getting behind. Marcelo Herbella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mendiko Adrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Gai Caruezo could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Mendiko Adrian however easily saved by the left post. Piamontesa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
