Spectators: 6687 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1687, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angelino Romillo started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuelo Orchua in the 2nd minute of play forced Maldonado AFC's goalkeeper Iaki Burset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cresitobalo Ontova fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maldonado AFC's protests and gave Cresitobalo Ontova a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Cresitobalo Ontova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuelo Orchua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iaki Burset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buenahora FC's Mikelats Abad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Buenahora FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Buenahora FC's zone, Angelino Romillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikelats Abad came out of the goal and Angelino Romillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francis Solanos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Iaki Burset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Maldonado AFC's Angelino Romillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mikelats Abad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelino Romillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mikelats Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Ximeno Moscoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maldonado AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 44th minute, Buenahora FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angelino Romillo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francis Solanos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Maldonado AFC got a freekick which was hit by Goyo Placencia. 54 minutes into the match, Buenahora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Romillo came free, but Mikelats Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuelo Orchua got free with Iaki Burset in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francis Solanos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Iaki Burset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuelo Orchua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iaki Burset having to interfere. Iaki Burset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francis Solanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Angelino Romillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Solanos in the 72nd minute of play forced Maldonado AFC's goalkeeper Iaki Burset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ximeno Moscoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikelats Abad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Buenahora FC defense, Angelino Romillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikelats Abad. The Buenahora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikelats Abad should have stopped the shot. Ximeno Moscoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikelats Abad having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maldonado AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Buenahora FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
