In the 6th match minute, Piedritas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Herrada to maneuver through the defense. Tranqueras's Colas Carbo managed to work through Piedritas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Colas Carbo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Yader Oneca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordarryl Alacan charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cordarryl Alacan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cordarryl Alacan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Colas Carbo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javiar Varioz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Javiar Varioz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yader Oneca's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Montez Velez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolfo Castreciones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tranqueras's Colas Carbo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tranqueras's Yader Oneca got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rudolfo Castreciones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olayo Belon in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Colas Carbo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Piedritas's goal looked a bit too open when Colas Carbo came free, but Javiar Varioz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolfo Castreciones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montez Velez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Yader Oneca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tranqueras's supporters rose to their feet, but Yader Oneca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javiar Varioz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javiar Varioz stood somewhat misplaced when Colas Carbo came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 66 minute. Rudolfo Castreciones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montez Velez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Illan Pedulles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tranqueras and the Piedritas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Tranqueras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Illan Pedulles to maneuver through the defense.
