Zion's Marino Munaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusko Mazas in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Oto Iruegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the game, Lunarejo's Ximenez Solar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marino Munaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Ubelteso Guceño fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zion's protests and gave Ubelteso Guceño a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zion getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ubelteso Guceño hit a great ball. Zion's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Eusko Mazas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Ximenez Solar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunarejo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximenez Solar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Felo Hurtaran came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Zion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felo Hurtaran couldn't finish the play. After 93 minutes of play, Lunarejo's Ximenez Solar made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marino Munaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lunarejo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
