The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cosme Murillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frasquito Diguja having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zambullon's zone, Cosme Murillas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frasquito Diguja came out of the goal and Cosme Murillas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, dep. san jose's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Falip came free, but Ladio Amenabar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Murillas in the 18th minute of play forced Zambullon's goalkeeper Frasquito Diguja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Falip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladio Amenabar having to interfere. Olo Quiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Murillas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frasquito Diguja having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, Cosme Murillas notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Zambullon's Frasquito Diguja. Frasquito Diguja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosme Murillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Frasquito Diguja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half dep. san jose were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olo Quiros was the one to do the kick off. Frasquito Diguja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Murillas in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Murillas in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frasquito Diguja saved Zambullon from getting behind. A collision led to dep. san jose getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Loren Peinador hit a great ball. Olo Quiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ladio Amenabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Zambullon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching dep. san jose's performance. The match ended with a win for dep. san jose.
