Juaneizu Feruel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Maronas FC's zone, Galoer Rabanal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubendu Larrangos came out of the goal and Galoer Rabanal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Galoer Rabanal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artal Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Zenon Oger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iztal Infiesto charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iztal Infiesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Maronas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iztal Infiesto to maneuver through the defense. Ubendu Larrangos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galoer Rabanal in the 44th minute of play. Galoer Rabanal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubendu Larrangos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Ubendu Larrangos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galoer Rabanal, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee ignored Maronas FC's protests and gave Clodio Sominaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute Artal Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Oger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Domeka Mielgo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artal Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
