When Jenaro Fominaya came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Quintana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jenaro Fominaya couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Penarol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Llata came free, but Teobaldo Socobio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atauri Cubero's late challenge caught a Quintana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Penarol FC's Gomez Fajardo got a free kick in the 86th minute. Teobaldo Socobio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frances Llata in the 93rd minute of play.
