When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barros Peralta to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Carlos Bergues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emeterio Agriano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dagoberto Sevillano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benat Cabriada having to make a save. In the 68th minute, Barros Peralta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benat Cabriada, passed just outside the right post. Frascuelo Espinosa charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frascuelo Espinosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carbonero getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Frascuelo Espinosa hit a great ball. Baltasar Bruñon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeterio Agriano having to interfere. Emeterio Agriano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Bergues's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huly Tercero in the 78th minute of play forced Carbonero's goalkeeper Emeterio Agriano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paysandu's Benat Cabriada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Paysandu from getting a goal against them. Carbonero's Dagoberto Sevillano got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emeterio Agriano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Bergues, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Paysandu were awarded a corner. Matei Molinillo went to the cornerflag to take it. Huly Tercero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the referee ended the match the Paysandu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
