Carrasco's Oro Villayuste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Carrasco from getting a goal against them. Berbiz Cerrudemos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montez Graci, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Herauso Olozagoitia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oro Villayuste having to make a save. Patxi Simon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Montez Graci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berbiz Cerrudemos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A hard shot 30 in the game by Hodei Pino from a close distance when the talented Oro Villayuste managed to make a qualified save. Carrasco's players were relieved. Herauso Olozagoitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oro Villayuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oro Villayuste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hodei Pino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patxi Simon to make the kick off. Herauso Olozagoitia struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Oro Villayuste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sauzal. Patxi Simon's late challenge caught a Sauzal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patxi Simon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Carrasco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Simon to maneuver through the defense.
