Salomon Ziguenza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mataojo AFC. Salomon Ziguenza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Perana in the 9th minute of the match. A hard shot 14 in the game by Sansone Acuña from a close distance when the talented Efraim Osuna managed to make a qualified save. Mataojo AFC's players were relieved. When Ferran Bas fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mederos FC's protests and gave Ferran Bas a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Mederos FC got a freekick which was hit by Ferran Bas. Mederos FC's Salomon Ziguenza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Perana in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Mataojo AFC booed when Mederos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Arandoja didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Tito Vieitez in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mederos FC's Zuzen Parrondo. Mederos FC's Salomon Ziguenza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jokin Gaig in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 58 minutes, Zuzen Parrondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mederos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zuzen Parrondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes Mataojo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Quinton Borinaga. In the 65th minute, Xinaro Asomoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christobal Angles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mataojo AFC's goalkeeper Efraim Osuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salomon Ziguenza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Usategui in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Mederos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Perana came free, but Salomon Ziguenza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mederos FC's Christobal Angles got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sansone Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Mederos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sansone Acuña couldn't finish the play.
