Ramiro Cardeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evis Sirguero having to interfere. Evis Sirguero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Veremundo Altemiz's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Montes's zone, Veremundo Altemiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evis Sirguero came out of the goal and Veremundo Altemiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maule Olaverrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evis Sirguero having to interfere. The supporters of Montes booed when Buricayupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maule Olaverrieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Vandoma notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Buricayupi's Godofredo Caballol. Godofredo Caballol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Vandoma in the 21st minute of play forced Buricayupi's goalkeeper Godofredo Caballol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantino Bengochea struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Godofredo Caballol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montes. A hard, long distance shot from Maria Betardo flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Vandoma in the 39th minute of play forced Buricayupi's goalkeeper Godofredo Caballol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buricayupi's Godofredo Caballol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Bengochea in the 40th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Vandoma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evis Sirguero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Cardeiro in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Montes getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Perfecto Fraile hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Mannie Ajorbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Buricayupi's Ramiro Cardeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evis Sirguero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veremundo Altemiz in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evis Sirguero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evis Sirguero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maule Olaverrieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Montes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
