With a left leg Natalio Puigdellivol saved Itapebi from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, one of Valdense:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 21 played minutes, when Itapebi:s Humberto Teza calmly waited for Valdense:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. After having played for 29 minutes, Xorxe Senabres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xorxe Senabres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdense's Fero Morera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Valdense from getting a goal against them. Xorxe Senabres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Natalio Puigdellivol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Valdense booed when Itapebi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faro Lloreda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Xorxe Senabres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Itapebi defense, Paz Baltuile kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natalio Puigdellivol. The Itapebi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natalio Puigdellivol should have stopped the shot. Argenis Urraca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faro Lloreda hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Argenis Urraca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Itapebi's Faro Lloreda got a free kick in the 77th minute. Argenis Urraca struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Natalio Puigdellivol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valdense. If Xorxe Senabres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nuno Carmenata's late challenge caught a Valdense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Carmenata helped the player get up and apologised. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valdense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Itapebi.
