The supporters of Constitucion booed when Estrella Roja F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Irazu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremy Villornate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. William Lizundia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremy Villornate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Constitucion's Fonso Holguin got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constitucion were furious when Claudio Pañizares was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 32nd minute, one of Constitucion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Constitucion. In the 40th minute of the match Garaona Muste sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Lizundia skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Constitucion booed when Estrella Roja F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garaona Muste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mariano Isurieta's late challenge caught a Estrella Roja F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Isurieta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Constitucion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Isurieta to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Estrella Roja F.C's Xusto Huercanos fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Fonso Holguin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Mariano Isurieta came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Constitucion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Isurieta couldn't finish the play. Tanio Chicarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Isurieta in the 72nd minute of the match. Manu Herrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tanio Chicarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manu Herrero in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Estrella Roja F.C getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ferdinand Irazu hit a great ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Manu Herrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrella Roja F.C's Tanio Chicarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jeremy Villornate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manu Herrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elia Iturcha fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella Roja F.C's protests and gave Elia Iturcha a yellow card for diving instead. Leobardo Victorica hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Estrella Roja F.C's Tanio Chicarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manu Herrero in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Estrella Roja F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
