Spectators: 6804 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xuan Armenteros started the match with the kick off. progreso's Jeremy Alcolea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xuan Armenteros in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mannie Rendain in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy Alcolea saved progreso from getting behind. A collision led to Cufre getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Xuan Armenteros hit a great ball. In the 11th match minute, Cufre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mannie Rendain to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Xuan Armenteros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cufre's supporters rose to their feet, but Xuan Armenteros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremy Alcolea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremy Alcolea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mannie Rendain, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Cufre's Xuan Armenteros got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Cufre's goal looked a bit too open when Batista Asturias came free, but Tomas Dulce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batista Asturias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Batista Asturias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomas Dulce. The goal made the score 1-0. Tomas Dulce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ieltxu Moneo in the 28th minute. Ieltxu Moneo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tomas Dulce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Batista Asturias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomas Dulce. That made the score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Betadur Bugarin in the 53rd minute of play forced Cufre's goalkeeper Tomas Dulce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, one of progreso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeremy Alcolea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xuan Armenteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, progreso's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mannie Rendain fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Batista Asturias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Dulce having to interfere. Milian Fontarigo charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milian Fontarigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of progreso booed when Cufre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milian Fontarigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremy Alcolea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuan Armenteros in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Batista Asturias in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Dulce saved Cufre from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Xuan Armenteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Alcolea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Batista Asturias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
