Chago Barela scored 1-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sol Urquiza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hernando Herreros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mitxaut Losado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bitxintxo Tubia having to make a save. Bitxintxo Tubia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernando Herreros in the 39th minute of the match. Sol Urquiza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chago Barela in the 42nd minute. Bitxintxo Tubia came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA's Hernando Herreros. But to his dismay, Hernando Herreros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joey Baños to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA's Hernando Herreros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bitxintxo Tubia. That made the score 1-5 after 54 minutes of play. In the 89th minute Hernando Herreros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bitxintxo Tubia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernando Herreros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Bitxintxo Tubia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Peñarol FC's Bitxintxo Tubia got control of the ball when Mitxaut Losado tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Herreros in the 97th minute of play forced Peñarol FC's goalkeeper Bitxintxo Tubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CLUB NACIONAL DE TALA played a much better game than Peñarol FC and deserved their victory. The Peñarol FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
