Feliu Tartales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johans Capon went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Johans Capon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, WANDERERS's Nisio Obaldia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Izana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. WANDERERS's Feliu Tartales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txeru Alzaga in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, WANDERERS's goal looked a bit too open when Johans Capon came free, but Feliu Tartales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match Aaron Corujo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliu Tartales showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Txeru Alzaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Manel Redondo fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WANDERERS's protests and gave Manel Redondo a yellow card for diving instead. Manel Redondo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Aaron Corujo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Elpidio Izana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabrio Mascire during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Montevideo Fc's Gabrio Mascire got a free kick in the 69th minute. Jerrold Nogueira's late challenge caught a WANDERERS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Red Bull Montevideo Fc played a much better game than WANDERERS and deserved their victory. The WANDERERS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
