Aguila's Quintan Menoyo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arotza Gracia, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Aguila's goal looked a bit too open when Huly Mortal came free, but Fidensio Cimbrelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Jesco Bierna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Huly Mortal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Manterola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Joanico FC booed when Aguila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arotza Gracia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Manterola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fidensio Cimbrelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huly Mortal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidensio Cimbrelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Arnoldo Melon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Siro Cordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Victorino Manterola came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Joanico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Manterola couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes Aguila got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Melon. If Gartzea Fajardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintan Menoyo scored 1-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siro Cordon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aguila were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Joanico FC for a fine match.
