Cruz Valls helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Valls to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Hugo Sayas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campamento the free kick. Zoil Quintairos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Llorienzo Olano made a huge save. Llorienzo Olano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Alda in the 22nd minute of play. Llorienzo Olano made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ignacio Jaramillo sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 89th minute Patricio Alda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llorienzo Olano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoil Quintairos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Campamento had played much better football throughout.
