With a little luck, Salta FC's Nicolao Asencion got control of the ball when Joseba Villagra tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Once Vacas's Costin Cara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolao Asencion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Joseba Villagra in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Bruno Blas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salta FC. If Kinsen Maysonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Joseba Villagra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Salta FC's Nicolao Asencion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Cara in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Once Vacas's Gian-Carlo Lloreda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolao Asencion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Timeteo Lope made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Once Vacas booed when Salta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timeteo Lope didn't get a good kick on the ball.
