Rai Tizon in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastiano Arijola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 10th play minutes Oto Aceituno shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Mambru Cotilla and just under the crossbar into goal. Lisandro Titos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th match minute, Cerro Largo F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Titos to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Titos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Cerro Largo F. C. defense, Loco Abalos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mambru Cotilla. The Cerro Largo F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mambru Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Rai Tizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loco Abalos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mambru Cotilla having to interfere. Loco Abalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Cerro Largo F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oto Aceituno came free, but Mambru Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Abalos in the 33rd minute of play forced Cerro Largo F. C.'s goalkeeper Mambru Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Barto Bucesta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose-Antonio Llorengoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Uruguayo Jrs's Sebastiano Arijola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguayo Jrs from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Barto Bucesta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguayo Jrs's supporters rose to their feet, but Barto Bucesta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mambru Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Uruguayo Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Titos came free, but Sebastiano Arijola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes, Cerro Largo F. C.'s Estavan Campero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastiano Arijola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cerro Largo F. C. reached it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Titos to strike the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Titos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Cerro Largo F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Rey Polo. In the 60th minute, Dorio Tijero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oto Aceituno in the 63rd minute of play forced Cerro Largo F. C.'s goalkeeper Mambru Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loco Abalos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Mambru Cotilla made a huge save. In the 65th minute Oto Aceituno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mambru Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose-Antonio Llorengoz took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mambru Cotilla. Mambru Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 72nd minute, Giraldo Ortuño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lisandro Titos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Uruguayo Jrs's Oto Aceituno made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mambru Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jose-Antonio Llorengoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mambru Cotilla having to interfere. Barto Bucesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mambru Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cerro Largo F. C.'s zone, Oto Aceituno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mambru Cotilla came out of the goal and Oto Aceituno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mambru Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loco Abalos in the 96th minute.
