Potencia F.C.'s Intxixu Ordax got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Potencia F.C.'s Matei Elguera got control of the ball when Bakar Camilo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oliveiro Loro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izel Leis having to interfere. Matei Elguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Castel Quiles in the 39th minute of the match. Intxixu Ordax received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Izel Leis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Intxixu Ordax made a kick off. Potencia F.C.'s Matei Elguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervaso Franco in the 51st minute of play. Oliveiro Loro struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Izel Leis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potencia F.C.. The supporters of Potencia F.C. booed when Mariscala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervaso Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Intxixu Ordax came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Potencia F.C. fans jumped to their feet.
