The crowd rose to their feet as Tacuarembo's Rexino Yunibarbia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moise Roson. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlo Vozmediano to strike the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Soto and the Tacuarembo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Colas Cotarelo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Carlo Vozmediano struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Laureano Serans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soto.
