In the 3rd match minute, Soto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muno Iribarne to maneuver through the defense. Colas Cotarelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Liher Pantojas made a huge save. Liher Pantojas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colas Cotarelo in the 10th minute. In the 21st minute, Gerardo Pons ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moise Roson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gerardo Pons struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Moise Roson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo. Soto's Moise Roson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Pons in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Soto getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Muno Iribarne hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Weterio Lugardo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Roson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moise Roson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Pons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlo Vozmediano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liher Pantojas having to interfere.

In the 53rd match minute, Cardozo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zemario Mauleon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Soto getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Muno Iribarne hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Cardozo's goal looked a bit too open when Colas Cotarelo came free, but Liher Pantojas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Weterio Lugardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Roson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colas Cotarelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Gerardo Pons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardozo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Colas Cotarelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liher Pantojas having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Lazcano Rubian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardozo and the Soto players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Gerardo Pons came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Cardozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Pons couldn't finish the play.
