After having played for 11 minutes, Galo Regaño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arriera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Galo Regaño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eleazar Igual kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, C. A. Peñarol's Rocendo Iturriaga got control of the ball when Henry Ribeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Henry Ribeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, C. A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Rocendo Iturriaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Ribeira. Rocendo Iturriaga made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Dalmau Grijalba sent off a good shot on target. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Arriera FC. With 46 minutes on the clock, Rudolfo Quevedo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in C. A. Peñarol fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Arriera FC. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cordaro Meca to make the kick off. Arriera FC's Ferrando Gorbin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordaro Meca in the 60th minute of play. Monico Bachicabo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rocendo Iturriaga. C. A. Peñarol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th match minute, C. A. Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Maza to maneuver through the defense. Henry Ribeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rocendo Iturriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Ribeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocendo Iturriaga having to interfere.
