Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Ferreira booed when Artigas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Acebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by Jose Coloma. If Hibai Posada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clementi Orengo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Artigas AFC's Aldo Barrientos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ferreira. After a defensive mix-up in Ferreira's zone, Hibai Posada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Erus came out of the goal and Hibai Posada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artigas AFC's Iban Godinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Loño in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Eriberto Loño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iban Godinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hibai Posada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Albino Erus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hibai Posada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Albino Erus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hibai Posada struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Albino Erus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artigas AFC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jacob Azcoitia made the kick off in the second half. If Medero Laores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Erus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hibai Posada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iban Godinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Laores in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferreira's Medero Laores slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iban Godinez. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. Ferreira's Albino Erus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Azcoitia in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotero Baracaldo to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Barrientos, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With an all-out effort, Ferreira's Iban Godinez threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Medero Laores, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Ferreira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ferreira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
