Peñarol's Rocendo Iturriaga got control of the ball when Nesor Bengoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Vallino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordaro Meca might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xzavion Iruegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cordaro Meca ran back to his position shaking his head. Xzavion Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Vallino in the 36th minute of play. C. A. Peñarol's Rocendo Iturriaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leoncio Manjon in the 37th minute of play. Rocendo Iturriaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leoncio Manjon, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Vallino was the one to do the kick off. The Campana AFC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Campana AFC's Nesor Bengoechea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61stth minute of the game Leoncio Manjon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Peñarol's Rocendo Iturriaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Cordaro Meca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cordaro Meca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nesor Bengoechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rocendo Iturriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campana AFC's Leoncio Manjon got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Campana AFC booed when C. A. Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quin Antia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, C. A. Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Leoncio Manjon came free, but Rocendo Iturriaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Campana AFC's Leoncio Manjon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rocendo Iturriaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Leon Vallino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rocendo Iturriaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nesor Bengoechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Campana AFC were the better team. Campana AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
