Tacuarembo AFC's Bladi Lombera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Satordi Carrozal in the 4th minute of play. Bladi Lombera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ostargi Pi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Perez Cortazar managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Tacuarembo AFC's Xulio Lucio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 11 played minutes Tacuarembo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aznaro Pares. Xulio Lucio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Xulio Lucio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Horqueta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mingo Linares came free, but Perez Cortazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Xulio Lucio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Mingo Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacuarembo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mingo Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ostargi Pi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bladi Lombera was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 31st minute Ostargi Pi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bladi Lombera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Satordi Carrozal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bladi Lombera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ostargi Pi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Tacuarembo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Satordi Carrozal came free, but Bladi Lombera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Satordi Carrozal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bladi Lombera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tacuarembo AFC's Mingo Linares in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horqueta AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Baumer Palanca's late challenge caught a Horqueta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baumer Palanca helped the player get up and apologised. Baumer Palanca kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Horqueta AFC's Jakes Cisneros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tacuarembo AFC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ostargi Pi got free with Bladi Lombera in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute of the match, Satordi Carrozal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bladi Lombera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Satordi Carrozal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bladi Lombera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perez Cortazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xulio Lucio in the 62nd minute of play. Xulio Lucio struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Perez Cortazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacuarembo AFC. Irrintzi Prat kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xulio Lucio in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perez Cortazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Xulio Lucio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Mingo Linares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Perez Cortazar. Horqueta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mingo Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 80 minutes into the match, Tacuarembo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Satordi Carrozal came free, but Bladi Lombera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Horqueta AFC's Ostargi Pi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bladi Lombera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Xulio Lucio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
