A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes in the game, Gau Sana fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jayvier Morquecho having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gau Sana got free with Jayvier Morquecho in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Zapucay booed when Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orixe Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crescencio Foubelo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Peñarol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapucay the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gau Sana in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jayvier Morquecho saved Peñarol from getting behind. The Peñarol players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
