Froila Pares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Abaurre having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Diegotxe Olivos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pedernal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Echeverry AFC the free kick. A collision led to Pedernal getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Diegotxe Olivos hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Camilo Trasloseros fired a really elegant long shot, but Heli Velis threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. With an all-out effort, Echeverry AFC's Heli Velis threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaueko Manteca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Echeverry AFC's Camilo Trasloseros got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Froila Pares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Pedernal got a corner. Echeverry AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Cerillo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 61 minutes, Vellito Cereijais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vellito Cereijais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Echeverry AFC's Camilo Trasloseros got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Camilo Trasloseros off the ground. Froila Pares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Abaurre having to interfere. When Selatse Orive came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Echeverry AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selatse Orive couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Echeverry AFC's zone, Maxin Luna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Abaurre came out of the goal and Maxin Luna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, Pedernal failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
