Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Yago Lanzon made the kick off and thus started the match. Lluques Urbiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Abaurre having to interfere. The supporters of Paysandú FC booed when Echeverry AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Meja didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Yago Lanzon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardo Abaurre. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 30th minute Yago Lanzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Abaurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Trasloseros kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Lluques Urbiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Abaurre having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Selatse Orive who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paysandú FC's Uhin Rubial was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Selatse Orive had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaueko Manteca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Uhin Rubial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uhin Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selatse Orive, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Gaueko Manteca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaueko Manteca made a kick off. When Calixto Villadiego fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paysandú FC's protests and gave Calixto Villadiego a yellow card for diving instead. Calixto Villadiego kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Gaueko Manteca struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Uhin Rubial didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Echeverry AFC. Selatse Orive took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uhin Rubial. Uhin Rubial dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 62nd minute, Gogo Meja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Abaurre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yago Lanzon's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Bernardo Abaurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluques Urbiso in the 68th minute of play. Gaueko Manteca might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uhin Rubial. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaueko Manteca ran back to his position shaking his head. Yago Lanzon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Abaurre having to make a save. Gaueko Manteca might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uhin Rubial. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaueko Manteca ran back to his position shaking his head. If Selatse Orive had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Melendez kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Paysandú FC's Lluques Urbiso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Abaurre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaueko Manteca in the 81st minute of play forced Paysandú FC's goalkeeper Uhin Rubial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Echeverry AFC's Marcelo Melendez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Uhin Rubial. That made the score 1-3 after 82 minutes of play. Echeverry AFC's Bernardo Abaurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urdin Arechavala in the 87th minute of play. Yago Lanzon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bernardo Abaurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Echeverry AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Echeverry AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
