If Alfredo Ubiña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ilixo Principe came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Rolon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilixo Principe couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Rodriguez FC's zone, Ilixo Principe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luken Palmades came out of the goal and Ilixo Principe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Ubiña struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gartzea Nicolas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodriguez FC. Aurre Verlo lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rolon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Ivon Sosa shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Ubiña in the 45th minute of play forced Rolon's goalkeeper Gartzea Nicolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 67 minutes, Leonel Llorengoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rolon and the Rodriguez FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Dei Vinyals recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gartzea Nicolas. Dei Vinyals showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Ilixo Principe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Luken Palmades tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rodriguez FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
