Umbruso Cimbron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Garizabal in the 11th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Palmitas's goal looked a bit too open when Ysidro Plata came free, but Laurendi Verga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Garizabal in the 20th minute of play forced Egana AFC's goalkeeper Umbruso Cimbron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umbruso Cimbron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Garizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norino Lastras got free with Umbruso Cimbron in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomi Hesa in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurendi Verga saved Palmitas from getting behind. Tomi Hesa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Laurendi Verga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palmitas's Mincho Cotero got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ysidro Plata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomi Hesa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Laurendi Verga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmitas's Norino Lastras got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Palmitas's Arturo Garizabal in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Egana AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo Garizabal to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Mincho Cotero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmitas and the Egana AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The attack was good, but when Tomi Hesa in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Umbruso Cimbron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagoberto Uriona's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. When Ysidro Plata came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Egana AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ysidro Plata couldn't finish the play. Norino Lastras might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umbruso Cimbron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norino Lastras ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Tomi Hesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurendi Verga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Palmitas booed when Egana AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Llorian Espantoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Leizarraga Valdevielso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Umbruso Cimbron skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Arturo Garizabal notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Egana AFC's Umbruso Cimbron. Umbruso Cimbron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ysidro Plata got free with Laurendi Verga in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Egana AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
